Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our Finance team in Croatia we are currently looking for a:

Finance Manager

(Zagreb, Croatia)

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate for this key function will be in charge of the accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. Additionally, it also expected to safeguard the company’s financial assets and to ensure the effective and efficient use of the company’s resources.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist and advise the General Manager in various financial and business-related matters
• Comply with all fiscal and statutory reporting requirements
• Review and develop procedures to train and coach supporting staff and fellow managers in financial related matters
• Analize operating results including expense and working capital variance vs budget. Monitor debtor ratio, AP days, inventory days, capital spending and cash investment
• Administer the employee payroll, benefit plan and human resources functions
• Prepare and analize both long- and short-term planning process
• Ensure that Group internal control procedures are adhere to them
• Work closely with management team in cost control and reduction

Required Competencies

• Expertise in financial matters
• Proficient in Microsoft Office product a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skill
• Exposure in a unionized environment
• Capacity to understand & interpret numbers
• Expertise in general accounting and cost accounting
• Expertise in reporting, budgeting & financial analysis
• Expertise in income tax, VAT, labour law and other statutory matters
• Basic product and range knowledge
• Operations: basic knowledge of production, distribution, purchasing, costing, Q&A and food safety
• Knowledge of specific software systems to support the function (accounting software, spreadsheets, OLAP)
• Meeting techniques and management
• Accuracy and reliability
