Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our Sales team in Austria we are currently looking for a:

Sales Manager  (m/w/d) – full-time

(Wels, Austria)


Reporting directly to the General Manager of Austria, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of the Sales strategy for all channels. In addition you will manage all sales & business development activities in order to develop sales and reach the profitability objectives.


Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the strategy for all channels
  • Monitor channel and account sales and profitability results versus budget and make sure corrective actions are defined and implemented in case of deviations versus objectives
  • Responsible and accountable for managing and controlling all account related budgets/rebates/conditions etc. that have an impact on customer profitability
  • Organize with Marketing, R&D, Operations etc. the necessary coordination meetings in order to assure an aligned execution of the planned commercial activities for the channels
  • Recruit, train, coach, manage and motivate the employees, field sales team and technical support staff in order to build a well performing solid team. Identify competence gaps and assure development of the team.
  • Implement the necessary tools and techniques in order to work and sell efficiently and professionally.


Required Competencies

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree; ideally in Food technology, Economics, Commerce or Business Administration
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Able to lead and motivate a team, develop a vision, communicate it and most importantly realize it
  • Business & result driven
  • Persistence
  • Proven track record in Sales and Key Account Management
  • Affinity for numbers
  • Strategic thinker
  • Field sales, Trade marketing or consumer marketing experience is a plus
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Willingness to travel
