Purchasing Officer

Your Mission

 

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Purchasing Officer will play a pivotal role in developing monthly supply planning strategies aimed at optimizing inventory levels. With a focus on driving cost competitiveness, the job titleholder will lead purchasing activities and processes. This multifaceted role entails preparing comprehensive monthly inventory reports, which outline current status and future projections, and subsequently collaborating with relevant colleagues to implement improvement plans. This position demand includes purchasing expertise, underscoring its importance in organizational efficiency and financial success.

 

What you will do

 

  1. Supply Planning and Raw Material Sourcing
  • Makes Monthly Requirement Plan of FG/RM according to the monthly rolling forecast
  • Makes a raw material sourcing plan for monthly production.
  • Supervises logistics process of RM with FG supply planner.
  • Monitors stock level and act flexibily about forecast change.
  • Reports monthly inventory projection, Operation KPI, monthly inventory report.
  • Performs data management responsibilities relating to import/export & procurement’s daily operations.
  • Performs execution of purchase orders and for import/export work orders.
  • Assists with materials sourcing according to the required specification & timeline
  • Ensures of timely deliveries of orders.
  • Ensures the receiving report is updating by warehouse department.
  • Produces reports and data for analysis and tracking to increase business and operational efficiencies.
  • Participates in the monthly inventory count.
  • Assists in checking raw materials and supplies availability in warehouse for production use. based on weekly production schedule.

 

  1. Cost Saving Activity/ Purchase Process

 

  • Analyzes cost saving potential per materials, develop and lead action plan.
  • Investigates supply market regularly and evaluate market price trend.
  • Audits regularly and improve internal purchase process and policy.
  • Reports cost saving activities monthly and develops competitive suppliers with R&D.
  • Monitors 3PL supplier’s peformance and develop action plan for improvement.

 

  1. New product development with R&D

 

  • Leads new product development co-operating with R&D
  • Leads on-time launch & re-launch with competitive cost management.
  • Leads continuous NPD process improvement with cross functions.

 

 

  1. Compliance with relevant statutory requirements

 

  • Closely monitors regulation changes and develops implementation plan of new regulation.
  • Renewal relevant artwork in compliance with regulation, co-operating with QA/R&D
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects as assigned e.g. FSSC

What we expect from you

  • Education experience
    • Preferred - 4 Years / bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or any relevant field.

 

  • Work experience
    • With at least 2 to 3 years of working experience in Purchasing/ Procurement is required for this position, coming from Manufacturing industry is a plus.
    • Experience in importing/sourcing from international suppliers is a plus.
    • Ability to proficiently manage multiple projects and contracts simultaneously. adeptly coordinating diverse portfolios to ensure seamless efficiency and effectiveness.
