Group IT Security Analyst (m/w/d)

(Sintra, Portugal)

 

Your Mission

 

We are seeking a Group IT Security Analyst to manage and counter information security threats to the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT and non-IT functions across the organization to ensure the highest possible security level and focus. The Group IT Security Analyst will be responsible for enhancing Puratos' security posture through various tasks, including monitoring and improving security incident response processes, business continuity testing, and security audits follow-up.

 

What you will do

 

  • Gather and analyze security intelligence, preparing recommendations accordingly
  • Independently advise internal and external IT teams during security incident response
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to strengthen security capabilities in high-risk environments
  • Support IT-OT convergence and the application of IT standards in manufacturing and engineering
  • Review vulnerability scan results and mitigation recommendations, following up with remediation owners
  • Assist in monitoring security alerts and detections, escalating critical alerts to senior team members
  • Manage Security KPI reporting and IT Risk Management
  • Contribute to response and investigation efforts for security events
  • Perform analysis tasks independently and report findings to senior team members
  • Monitor security platform health for errors, misconfigurations, or performance alerts
     

What we expect from you

 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Broad knowledge of and interest in new technologies, understanding related benefits and risks
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong integrity, personal responsibility, and active listening skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Hands-on mentality, taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Drive for continual self-improvement, possessing a 'learn-it-all' mentality
  • Relevant industry certification in security, IT Governance, or risk management is a plus
  • Excellent English language skills
