Customer & Supplier Quality Assurance Manager

MISSION

 

 

The Customer & Supplier Quality Assurance Manager is in frequent contact with Sales & customers with an expectation of accuracy and efficient time management, and will own responsibility for managing Customer requests regarding Quality of products supplied.

The leader in this role will be responsible for Quality management of Supplier’s and ingredients, as well for the creation and the maintenance of the product’s database in the company systems (SAP, MasterControl). This individual will be responsible to challenge and evolve the existing processes and software to provide a best in class service with a strong customer focus to in a Business to Business environment. 

 

 

KEY TASKS

 

 

  • Lead, manage and organize a team of 4 specialists and coordinators to provide accurate and on time service for customers, suppliers and standards
  • Strong interdependence with R&D, Production, Purchasing, Plant’s Quality Assurance, Marketing, Sales. Facilitate, communicate, inform, prioritize.
  • Manage customer’s Food safety and Quality requests, including documentation requests and completion of customer questionnaires
  • Manage and document Suppliers and Ingredients risk analysis, approval.
  • Manage data and technical documentation relating to the creation of Finished Goods for production processes for 300+ SKUs
  • Manage the edition and maintenance of product labeling and technical specifications
  • Coordinate the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the Software “MasterControl” Document and Training Management modules for all US locations. 
  • Provide support for the area of responsibility managed, during FDA regulatory inspections, SQF audits and customer audits
  • Responsible for traceability process and management of the traceability team; member of Crisis/Recall Team.
  • Continuous improvement of the processes and tools to provide an efficient and on time service to internal and external customers

 

PROFILE

 

  • Bachelor of Science required, preferably in Food Science or Food Technology
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing, and within the food industry
  • HACCP Certified and working knowledge of SQF
  • PCQI Certified preferred
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis, CAPA, nonconformance investigations
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and database software
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and pragmatic problem solver
