Associate Product Manager

MISSION
 
Coordinate and execute the product and marketing activities for the assigned product categories. Follow-up on budget performance for (Volume, Sales and Gross Margin) within the scope of the long-range plan. implement product category strategies according to the overall SBU strategy with a strong marketing approach, while providing the necessary support to the commercial & technical teams to grow the category.

 

KEY TASKS        

  • Business accountability for the product categories:
  • In collaboration with the Senior Product Manager SBU set annual sales budget for the categories in scope in alignment with the business development heads.
  • Monthly reporting of sales for the category, Gross Margin and Volume performance by product category, key initiatives and sales channel – top winners/losers/risk accounts analysis.
  • Follow, analyze and manage the performance of the products in terms of volume, sales and margin evolution.
  • Propose actions for the product category 
    • Drive Top Priority & Key Product initiatives each year to hit the yearly budget plan
    • Launch new products/concepts using the Stage & Gate process.
  • Support the activities for the product portfolio range in line with SBU strategy:
  • Lead the innovation & renovation process including continuous range optimization and SKU management
  • Suggest pricing tactics in line with companies’ pricing strategy
  • Execute the internal and external communication of the product categories, working alongside our Marketing Communications team
  • Assist on Market intelligence activities by collecting, structuring and communicating relevant market insight’s related to the categories within scope.
  • Support business development:
  • Actively support business development in defining the targeted applications, relevant customer segments. 
  • Support sales  with customer visits and sales tools
  • Work closely with the local Operations team to align a production approach with the BU to sustain the growth plan.
  • Support the activities for the marketing budgets
  • Be an active member of the Marketing Team:
  • Working on cross SBU projects, and be part of commercial/R&D task force teams to deliver results for focused initiatives.
  • Assist in internal marketing activities, such as seminars, customer events/demo and presentations.
  • Participate in the headquarters’ and international marketing community, through specific projects & exchange of ideas and best-practices with other marketing colleagues around the world.
     

 PROFILE
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business or similar. Further education qualification to degree or Master’s level is a plus.
  • Ability to elaborate, implement and follow up short and long term tasks for the category.   
  • Ability to asses sales numbers interpret and report strengths & weaknesses by product/sales channel.
  • Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good marketing knowledge (theoretical & practical): up to date with the latest developments in the field of marketing.
  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience as product/brand/marketing associate manager. Preferably in the B2B industry.
  • Project management: planning, organization, timing, budget.
  • Good & clear communicator.
  • Travel: This position will be required to travel 20%-30% of the time
