Group Supply Chain Manager – Operational Excellence
Your Mission
As part of the Group Supply Chain strategy to position service as a competitive differentiator, this role drives global excellence across logistics, warehousing, transport and order to delivery processes.
You will develop and evolve global standards, digital tools and best practices that strengthen supply chain performance across more than 75 countries.
Your mission is to elevate operational capabilities, enhance reliability, and collaborate with countries to deliver best‑in‑class service at optimal cost.
Through thought leadership, coaching and strategic influence, you will guide countries in adopting global standards and implementing transformation projects.
You will play a key role in advancing Puratos’ global logistics maturity, including technology adoption, warehouse optimization and transport excellence.
Together with your colleagues of the Group Supply chain team you operate in a global matrix organization in strong collaboration with country supply chain/logistics teams and as a member of diverse x-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Define, build and continuously improve global supply chain excellence standards across Design–Plan–Source–Make–Deliver–Service, combining theory, internal insights and external best practices.
- Lead the deployment of operational excellence standards in countries and factories, ensuring adoption through coaching, training and change management.
- Develop capability frameworks, role blueprints and skill roadmaps for logistics, warehousing, transport in line with the OPX HR maturity pyramid.
- Drive logistics and warehouse optimisation projects (layout design, warehouse automation, pallet management, routing optimisation and transport cost efficiency).
- Support global network design initiatives and capacity modelling to ensure long‑term fit‑for‑purpose SC footprint.
- Develop or enhance digital tools and assessment frameworks to identify performance gaps, benchmark maturity and guide improvement roadmaps.
- Act as the global SPOC for selected logistics standards, supporting countries in KPI measurement, root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving.
- Facilitate global best‑practice communities to foster knowledge‑sharing and capability building across all regions.
- Promote cultural adoption of OPX ways of working, continuous improvement behaviors, and empowered‑team practices across countries.
- Influence cross‑functional stakeholders (Operations, ICT, Sales, Finance) and external partners to ensure aligned, scalable and future‑proof solutions.
Who are we looking for?
- A senior logistics professional with 10+ years of supply chain experience across roles such as warehousing, transport management, customer service, planning or material flow management.
- Proven track record in warehouse management and logistics optimisation, including automation, WMS, transport partner management and routing tools.
- Strong international experience and ability to guide countries with diverse levels of maturity, ideally within FMCG, food, chemical or pharmaceutical environments.
- Advanced SAP knowledge (WM, transport management) and familiarity with warehouse and routing software; BI experience is a plus.
- Highly skilled in stakeholder management, influencing, coaching and driving change, even in challenging environments.
- Strong collaboration skills and approachability
- Ability to build capabilities across countries, develop SC role maturity, and support talent growth as part of the OPX empowered‑team framework.
- Analytical, process‑oriented and digitally savvy, with strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
- Global travel availability (approx. 20–25%).
