R&D Lab Assistant – Patisserie Mixes

Your Mission 

For our business unit Patisserie Mixes we are searching for a R&D Lab Assistant. In this role you will support the development of patisserie mixes through the organization of lab trials and product analysis, as well as the recording of test results. You will support the research managers through the execution of tasks related to product development, item creation, country support and innovation projects.

What you will do 

• You plan, design and execute lab and pilot trials in the product category, in agreement with and with the supervision of the research manager
• You organize the analytical, texture and sensory measurements on the products of the product category
• You record and analyze the results and establish trial reports including conclusions interpretations and recommendations
• You introduce and follow up on formulations in SAP/PLM, calculations and creations of internal premixes for production, organization of item requests
• You define quality tests and specifications for new products
• You support the R&D Manager in tasks related to regional support and (local) innovation projects

Who are we looking for? 

• You have a Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Food and/or Dietary Science, (Bio) Chemistry, Agro & Biotechnology
• Relevant experience in a lab environment, by preference in a food company is a plus but not a must
• Experience with Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word…), optional is SAP
• You are precise, accurate, punctual, reliable and a good planner
• You are a critical thinking and problem solving person with a drive for quality
• You are a good communicator, team player and collaborative
• Languages: English (written and spoken), Dutch and/or French are a plus
