Product Manager – Chocolate

Do you want to promote great tasting Belgian chocolate?    

As Product Manager Chocolate you will be responsible for the business results (growth and profitability) of our Belcolade chocolate portfolio. At the same time, you will promote our Cacao-Trace Program that is leading the way to a sustainable future for the chocolate chain (https://www.cacaotrace.com/nl/cacao-trace# ) and specific innovations within your portfolio.

What you will do

• You will be responsible for the promotion of the Cacao-Trace program by developing communication plans (off- and online) and POS materials for both B2B and B2C market.
• You gather market intelligence on customers, competitors, and consumers.
• You develop long-term and short-term strategies for the different product categories and innovations, aligning with our Belux strategy.
  • Develop yearly marketing plans with a focus on communication and product launches, ensuring timely and qualitative execution.
  • Evaluate the impact of implemented initiatives and recommend optimization opportunities for the future .
• You act as a bridge between departments, facilitating collaboration between marketing, R&D, finance, supply chain, and sales teams to drive innovation and excellence in finished goods and applications by developing communication materials, organization of (customer) events,…
• You monitor and analyze the performance of products in terms of volume, sales and margin evolution and you propose and implement corrective actions or acceleration plans where needed.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a Master in Economics/Marketing/Business Engineering
• You have a first work experience (1 to 3 years) in brand/product management in a food-related environment
• You have experience in online and offline communication or in a communication agency.
• You are fluent in Dutch and French with a good notions of English.
• You have the necessary communication and writing skills to present our different chocolate products in an appealing way, adapted to the targeted audience (chocolatiers, artisans, food services and consumers).
