Product Manager Bakery Belux

For our Puratos Belux team, located at Groot-Bijgaarden, we are looking for a Product Manager for product category Bakery in order to achieve the ambitious business targets. As a passionate ambassador for Bakery products you are responsible, supported by your team, for managing the product life cycle and product portfolio, supporting the product related business development, leading the product innovation/renovation.


Key accountabilities

  • You build market intelligence for the product category Bakery on customer – competitor consumer.
  • You develop and implement the strategy for the product category Bakery and specific strategic/international innovations, formalize for the long term and for the short term in the yearly activity plan per LOB. Roll-out the activities.
    • Definition of the yearly marketing plan in line with the Belux strategy and divided into quarterly initiatives.
    • Timely and qualitative implementation of the approved plan
    • Evaluation of the impact of implemented initiatives and recommendation for future optimization
  • You follow, analyze and manage the performance of the Bakery products in terms of volume, sales and margin evolution. Propose, agree and roll-out corrective actions or acceleration plans.
    • Manage the product portfolio Bakery and the product life cycle
    • Manage the product portfolio taking into account the product life cycle.
    • Manage the brand of the assigned category
  • You define the Innovation/Renovation strategy and implement by leading cross functional project teams (R&D, Marketing,… ).
  • You are responsible for the implementation of the marketing activities foreseen for our branded breads: product launches, promotions, communication plan (off- and online), POS material,…
  • You act as facilitator between various departments (marketing, R&D, finance, supply chain, sales,...) regarding the product category, and in view of finished goods / applications approach, and customer innovation day activities/Events.

Who are we looking for ?

  • You have a Business or Marketing degree with a first relevant experience in product/brand/marketing management or equivalent.
  • You have a passion for food. You are interested in the latest trends and topics.
  • You show a good balance between creativity and data driven mindset.
  • You have great organizational and project management skills.
  • You are a real team player and have excellent communication skills. You are ready to have interactions with R&D, technical advisors, other marketeers from HQ as well as from our network of affiliates.
