Mission and key tasks

You will join the Tax & Legal department and work with the mentor to turn practical Legal and Tax needs into secure, usable AI-powered solutions. The internship is implementation-oriented and combines business analysis, prototyping, testing, documentation and user feedback.

More specifically, you will :

• Design, build and test Microsoft Copilot agents for Legal and Tax use cases, translating business needs into practical AI solutions and prototypes.
• Develop AI-powered workflows and automation, combining generative AI, business rules, human review and tools such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform and n8n.
• Help build an AI-assisted legal mailbox, including email classification, draft responses, routing and escalation to Legal colleagues where needed.
• Develop and test AI integrations and knowledge solutions, including RAG, MCP servers and APIs, using approved internal content and systems while considering access rights, security and data handling.
• Test, document and demonstrate AI solutions, identify improvements and explore new high-value AI use cases for Legal and Tax.

Who are we looking for?

• You are a curious and hands-on student who enjoys combining technology, process improvement and experimentation.
• You are a final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Applied Computer Science, AI & Data Engineering, Software Development, Business Engineering, Digital Transformation or a related IT-focused program.
• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme at a recognised university or university college. We regularly welcome interns from institutions such as Odisee, Erasmushogeschool Brussels, HoGent, Thomas More, UCLL, KdG, KU Leuven, VUB and many others.
• You are comfortable with at least one of the following: low-code automation, APIs, prompt engineering, Python, data processing, Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, n8n, databases or cloud services.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate a business need into a practical prototype.
• You are interested in generative AI, AI agents, RAG, knowledge management and workflow automation.
• You are willing to test iteratively, learn from feedback and document work clearly.
• You are able to work independently while actively collaborating with business users and technical stakeholders.
• You have good written and spoken English. Dutch and/or French is an asset.
• You have no prior Legal or Tax knowledge is required.

Practical info’s

• Period of the internship : One academic semester, with exact start and end dates agreed with the student and educational institution.

• Duration of the internship : One semester, preferably at least 4 months on a full-time basis.

• Location of the internship: Puratos HQ in Groot-Bijgaarden (Belgium).
• To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold a valid work and residence authorization allowing employment in Belgium. Puratos is not sponsoring work permits or visa applications for this position.
