Consolidation Manager

 

Your Mission

 

Your mission is to ensure the timely and successful completion and integrity of the regular Group consolidation process. You will also manage and continuously improve the Group reporting and consolidation systems in order to ensure reliable and timely reporting and consolidation of the Group financial results in accordance with the Group Generally Accepted Accounting principles (IFRS). You will directly report to the Head of Consolidation.

 

What you will do

 

  • Your responsibilities include the preparation of the monthly reporting process under IFRS & issue the Group reports based on the individual monthly reporting packages, consolidation entries & consolidation eliminations together with the team.
  • You will have the opportunity to support the half-yearly & yearly full consolidation, the preparation of internal and external financial reporting and the external consolidation audit.
  • We expect from you to implement and continuously improve a set of controls for the consolidated figures.
  • As you will be the go-to person for a region you will interact and guide affiliates during monthly, half-yearly and yearly closing, support affiliates during SAP go-live with the Group reporting.
  • Your accuracy is a definite plus as you will maintain / keep up-to-date the consolidation software and develop the necessary reports, controls and formulas.
  • You will prepare for IFRS, among other IFRS 16 (leases) in close collaboration with entities.
  • Together with your colleagues you will assist in the maintenance of Finance Master Data.
  • You will perform ad hoc analyses and respond to questions from C-level management.

 

 

What we expect from you

 

 

  • We’re looking for someone with a solid educational background, preferably a master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or an equivalent field.  
  • You should have extensive experience in Finance, along with a good understanding of IFRS/Belgian GAAP and group consolidation principles.
  • Being a positive team player is key for us, and we value individuals who are trustworthy and can connect well with their colleagues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are important, especially as you’ll be working with stakeholders from around the world in a decentralized environment.
  • We appreciate analytical thinkers who are hands-on, take initiative, and are results-driven. If you’re a quick learner with a flexible mindset, able to adapt fast and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, you’re the kind of candidate we’re looking for.
  • Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in French or Dutch would be a plus. A good grasp of Excel is important, and knowledge of BFC & SAP would be beneficial.
