Your position:

Are you an experienced category buyer with a passion for Indirect categories? Then we are looking for you to reinforce our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement of various product groups, particularly those with higher spend within IT & Services.

What will you do?

• Category Indirect Procurement – IT & Services: Focus on large spend (>€100K suppliers) and manage contracts at a strategic level with high risks and financial stakes. As a representative of your category, you will ensure that high spend procurement needs are met, and provide expertise for smaller spend requests on demand

• Manage internal and external relationships: Responsible for managing internal stakeholders. For key suppliers, you will manage relationships by continuously striving to improve performance at the best cost.

• Sourcing activities: You will oversee the entire procurement process, from analyzing internal needs, conducting price requests and quote evaluations, negotiating with suppliers, to finalizing contracts.

• Contribute to growth: Being situated at the headquarters, you are expected to contribute to and drive procurement maturity both within and outside Belgium by actively supporting the Operational Excellence program within Procurement, sharing best practices in the global procurement community and leading global tenders within your category.You will report directly to the Group Indirect Procurement Manager.

Your profile:

• You hold a master’s degree in applied economic science or have relevant experience within a purchasing department. You possess strong negotiation and contract management skills. A Yellow or Green Lean Six Sigma belt is an advantage.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an international procurement organisation.
• You are analytical, possess commercial acumen, and have strong communication skills in English. Proficiency in Dutch and French is an advantage.
• You are a true "relationship builder" – both with suppliers and within the company.
• You are willing to question processes and drive optimisations when necessary.
• You are dynamic, customer-oriented, proactive, well-organised, know how to set the right priorities, and take initiative.
• You have a very good knowledge of MS Office and are familiar with SAP & BI.
