Global Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager

Mission: 

The Global Market and Competitive Intelligence Manager will play a crucial role in shaping Puratos' strategic direction by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. This position is essential for helping the organization achieve its business goals and adapt to a constantly changing market environment. It will also contribute to providing valuable market insights to our customers helping them thrive.

What will you do:

• Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify market size, market share, trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities in the bakery, patisserie, and chocolate sectors.
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, including product launches, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and business developments.
• Industry Trends: Stay up to date on industry trends, technological advancements, risks that could impact Puratos' business.
• Strategic Recommendations: Build market & country factbooks landscaping the market with general economic, consumption and key competitor information. You provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management and customers to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
• Collaboration: Guardian of the process you continuously strive to improve the quality and the reliability of the data collection. In collaboration with research agencies or consultants you coordinate market and competitive research to gradually improve the fact-base of the exercise. You work closely with various departments including marketing, sales, and R&D, to ensure intelligence findings are integrated into business strategies. You support the Group M&A Director with facts & figures and prepare specific competitive deep dives upon request of the acquisition committee.
• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on market and competitive intelligence findings to key stakeholders.
• Tool Management: Manage and utilize various tools and platforms for data collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence. Train the local teams on the selected tools.

Who are we looking for:

• You own a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• You have 10+ years of experience in Marketing Intelligence, preferably in an international or B2B environment.
• You have a proven track record of developing and executing successful insight strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment. 
• You take initiative and are able to work in strong collaboration with a diverse team of Marketing Intelligence Champions across the globe.
• You are curious, data driven, digital savvy and inspired by the understanding of local culture’s diversity. 
• You are determined to continuously improve everything we do, daring to challenge boundaries to deliver superior value in customer experiences.
• Whatever happens, our customer always comes first for you.
• You share an interest to learn and know more about the world of bread, patisserie and chocolate.
• Willingness to travel internationally 25% of the time.
