Supply Chain Analyst


The Supply Chain Analyst is part of the operations team, accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of the Sales and Operational planning process for our site near Liverpool.


This role will:

  • Enhance and support the administrative processes within the Supply Chain function
  • Drive key performance and leading indicators (KPIs) inventory turns (stock control with regards to obsoletes and order processes), inefficiencies (with regards to production planning function) , working capital (Working stock days) and budget (S&OP process)
  • Facilitate a LEAN flow of materials to domestic and international customers at an affordable cost across multiple locations.
  • Define and continuously improve supply chain processes, logistics coordination, materials flow and inventory management to maximise customer service while minimizing working capital.
  • Use the Forecast/Demand data (through IBP/Forecasting and consultation to assess risk of obsolescence and supply to determine MOQ and stock turn deliverables.
  • Ensure management of obsolescence risk due to Raw Material supply/demand and stock holding through data analysis and reporting to drive decision making in a proactive manner.
  • Enable stock management and sku rationalisation through the analysis and reporting of product life cycle in conjunction with Marketing and CRM at point of Go/No go for any new products, raising any specific management of MTO items through key accounts. Ensuring a risk management approach to unique raw materials and or new raw materials into the business across all UK sites.
  • Comply with the Company’s Quality systems and adherence to Company HACCP and TACCP procedures.
  • Promote a safety conscious workplace, ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and adherence to current H&S legislation
  • Adhere to the Company’s Environmental Policy

A great candidate will have:

  • Degree in Supply Chain/Materials/Logistics management or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years supply chain, material logistics and warehousing management experience.
  • Demonstrated use of Continuous Improvement, TQM and/or Lean tools including six sigma, value stream mapping, 5S, root cause / corrective action, kaizen events and kanban workflows.
  • Must have knowledge of S&OP, MRP, MPS, warehouse management systems, replenishment methodology and industrial engineering methods/techniques including bills of materials and routings, inventory control techniques, materials logistics and flow - FIFO and traffic management.
  • Expert knowledge of master scheduling practices and capacity analysis.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, database and presentation including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ideally experienced in implementing and working with SAP and APO.
