Position Overview

Based in Lebanon, we are currently seeking an:

In-house lawyer

(Beirut, Lebanon)

Reporting directly to the CEO and in dotted line to the Puratos group General Counsel, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for a wide variety of general commercial, corporate, compliance, real estate, finance, IP and other related legal fields, covering both the national and international scale.

Key Accountabilities

• Preparing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of broad-based commercial contracts and transactions
• Providing accurate, pragmatic, legal advice to the business, in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing legal assistance to internal clients, by advising on ad-hoc questions and supporting in projects
• Monitoring and advising on legal disputes and procedures
• Contributing to and monitoring corporate housekeeping of the BanoPuratos group
• Instructing and monitoring communication with external lawyers and other advisors
• Monitoring compliance with the group policies, procedures and best practices, and implementing group tools and templates
• Following up on legal developments, particularly in the field of business law, company law and general contract law.

Profile

• Master’s degree in Law
• Minimum 7-10 years legal experience (bar experience is a plus), preferably in an international context  
• Preference for a generalist position
• Team-player, hands-on, business-oriented and pragmatic
• Effective communication in English and local language
