Position Overview

 

Based at our head office of Addis Ababa, to further strengthen our Finance team, we are currently seeking an:

Warehouse Supervisor

(Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)

 

Your Mission

The Warehouse Supervisor will fill an essential role in managing the day-to-day operations and activities of the stores and ensures proper storage of store items/ finished products, raw materials… in line with safety requirements.

What you will do

 

  • Prepares the orders physically on site (complete pallet or repacked) as planned.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of goods meets customers timescales/requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage of store items/ finished products, raw materials… in line with safety requirements.
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
  •  Issue stock to user departments in line with company policies.
  • Conduct physical counts to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing products at the stores.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of store items develop and submit reports of inventory levels.
  • Oversee all materials receipts, processing, fulfilment, movement pick-up, monitoring and dispatch at the plant.
  • Ensure store is optimally utilized by constantly reviewing layout, space utilization and material flow to identify improvement areas.
  • Ensure daily records of stores transactions are uploaded onto the system on a regular basis.
  • Organize regular/periodic stock count exercises and ensure discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Investigate incidences of damaged/missing stock in the plant and report to immediate supervisor.
  • Implement approved HSE policies and procedures for stores safety.
  • Ensure continuous review and assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of stores management policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by immediate Supervisor. 

Job requirements:

  • Academic Degree in Accounting, management, or Related field. 
  • 4+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Good English language skill (Reading, Writing & Speaking).
  • Computer literacy: MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Good communication skills, coaching attitude
  • Team player, trustworthy, service orientated, open minded, continuous improvement mindset.

  • Team player - functions in project mgmt.
