R&D Manager- Bakery

(Istanbul, Turkey)

Your Mission

• As a result of our rapid growth, you will play an important role in R&D.

What you will do

• Carry out the development (design) activities of bakery products.
• Obtain the necessary technical support from the Belgium Headquarters during R&D activities and, when required, conduct joint projects and studies.
• Evaluate customer complaints related to bakery products together with the Quality Department when necessary; perform the required analyses and investigations and prepare the relevant reports. When needed, assess the complaint on-site together with the Technical Advisor and provide appropriate solutions.
• Conduct visits to artisan and industrial customers together with Regional Sales Managers, Regional Sales Supervisors, or the Strategic Accounts Sales Manager to perform custom bakery product development projects; gather customer requirements and follow up on product development activities in line with these needs.
• Monitor bakery products developed by competitor companies and inform the relevant departments about significant developments.
• Continuously follow new product developments at the Belgium Headquarters, communicate these innovations to the Marketing and Sales Departments, and collaborate with them to identify products suitable for the local market.
• Conduct benchmark studies of bakery products once a year or upon request from the Marketing Department; report and share the results with relevant stakeholders.
• Follow the Turkish Food Codex, TSE standards, and other relevant regulations, and ensure the adaptation of required changes to the relevant products when necessary.
• Report project activities at the requested intervals and monitor projects that progress into sales.
• Regularly enter and maintain data for the KPIs under responsibility.

What we expect from you

• Graduated from the Food Engineering department of universities,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D activities for Bakery,
• Passionate about food and have knowledge about bakery industry,
• Creative and driven by Innovation and thinking out of the box, 
• Able to actively drive and have no restriction of domestic / international travel,
• Fluent in English,
• Good command of SAP application and MS Office applications.
