Position Overview

 

Based at our subsidiary in Taguig, Philippines, in order to further strengthen our local team, we are currently seeking an:

 

 

Data Analytics and Importation Officer

(Bagumbayan, Taguig City, Philippines)

 

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Data Analytics and Importation Officer will be responsible for managing raw data related to planning, production, sales, warehousing, and logistics. This data will be converted into usable dashboards or reports, providing actionable insights to help the organization monitor and optimize its resources, achieve performance targets, and meet long-term plans. Additionally, the position oversees all importation activities, including monitoring incoming shipments, collaborating with third-party brokers and foreign suppliers on necessary importation documents and permits, and handling billings.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Collaborates with the Operations team and other departments to understand business goals, existing BI reports, KPIs, raw data sources, and clarify visualization requirements/goals.
  • Identifies key business metrics and develop methods to represent data in support of various KPI measurements.
  • Determines the appropriate graphs/charts based on the data type and create visually smart dashboards that convey key insights concisely and clearly.
  • Develops dashboards, automated reports, and report templates using visualization tools such as Power BI or other relevant software.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in Operations.
  • Ensures controls are in place to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Analyst to ensure that submitted forecasts align with the latest demand and historical data, challenging the forecasts when necessary.
  • Coordinates with the IT team regarding data processing and Power BI report availability.
  • Monitors importation processes from outbound to inbound.
  • Ensures the completeness, validity, and local compliance of importation documentation.
  • Facilitates import regulatory requirements, including the application of relevant permits and licenses.
  • Manages all matters related to importation, including evaluating existing and potential third-party brokers.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant import regulations and industry standards, ensuring the company’s importation practices comply with regulatory/government requirements.
  • Be prepared to take on new activities or job-related tasks related to Operations as they arise, including participating in special projects, assisting with company-initiated projects, or supporting other departments in matters related to food safety, quality, or sustainability

 

Profile

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in data analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related course, preferably BS Statistics, Mathematics, Accountancy, Supply Chain Management, IT, or Engineering. Knowledgeable in statistical data analysis.
  • Familiar with tools like SAP, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization software such as Power BI.
  • Has attended the following training (not required): Fundamentals of Analytics, Analytics for Business, How to Import Goods to the Philippines, and Logistics Management and Strategies.
