Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our team in Bicknor, we are currently looking for a:

HR Business Partner

(Bicknor, Kent, UK)

Your Mission

Reporting to the HR Director, you will work in partnership with the business to deliver first class business partnering to the site and delivery of the People Plan. As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll have strong coaching skills and be able to challenge business leaders, driving forward the site strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be a trusted business partner and coach to the site management team, ensuring regular business partner meetings take place to drive the people plan and ensure it aligned with the site mega objectives
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to managers to continuously build their leadership capabilities, ensuring they have understanding and ownership of the people KPIs and drive improvements
  • Drive engagement by ensuring completion of the Group Employee Engagement Survey, including development of the engagement plan and both engagement and wellbeing (Calling for Caring) initiatives, ensure effective follow up and continued measurement is in place
  • Manage the Magic Moments at Puratos in line with the Group cycle, providing coaching and support. Ensuring there is an effective succession plan and talent pipeline in place, including current and future talent, and PDPs in place for all employees with regular reviews
  • Ensure labour resourcing plans are in place and adhered to, supporting the annual FTE budget setting process, which meet the needs of the business, managing both weekly and salaried recruitment. Working with the COEs when required
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, being a key contact for employees on site, providing support and guidance
  • Lead Personnel & Organizational (P&O) initiatives to ensure the organisation is fit to meet current and future needs as and when required
  • Identify, develop, and deliver L&D solutions to build knowledge across the business and deliver our commitment of 5 learning days per employee per year
  • Support and implement the communication strategy to ensure that all employees are well informed and that all communication channels are effective in line with our employer branding and key principles
  • Ensure fair pay, reward and recognition principles are adhered to
  • Ensure all HR policies and processes are in place and ER issues are dealt with effectively and in line with UK standards and employment legislation. Provide insight and recommendations to the site management team to resolve root cause of ER issues and drive cultural improvements
  • Ensure data integrity via our monthly CAT score, ensuring Success Factors is up to date and accurate
  • Ensure legal compliance at the site, including support in any audits as required (e.g., BRC, SMETA)
  • Assist in the administration of benefits, payroll, and regular reporting
  • Support with projects as required
  • Deputise for the HR Director as may be required

 

Required Competencies

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in HR
  • CIPD Qualified, or if not qualified a desire to obtain qualification
  • Motivational and coaching skills
  • Able to develop creative and pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across all levels of the business
  • Experience of managing business level projects
  • Tenacious and resilient
  • Experience of effective challenging and influencing at senior manager level
  • Experience of leading change management
  • Strong commercial acumen and business knowledge is a plus
  • Experience within food manufacturing is a plus
