About the role
To drive sustainable and profitable sales growth within the assigned territory by developing long-term partnerships with customers, actively promoting Puratos solutions, and delivering superior customer value through technical, commercial, and market insights. This job is based in our branch in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Main responsibilities
1. Sales Development & Performance
- Achieve and exceed sales targets (volume, revenue, margin) in the assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across bakery, patisserie, and chocolate segments.
- Actively promote the full Puratos product portfolio, including cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Implement pricing strategies in line with company guidelines and market dynamics.
- Monitor sales performance (KPIs) and take corrective actions when needed.
2. Customer Management & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our customers.
- Act as a trusted business partner by understanding customer needs, challenges, and growth ambitions.
- Conduct regular customer visits, ensuring structured follow-up and value creation.
- Segment customers (A/B/C) and apply tailored engagement strategies.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
3. Market Development & Intelligence
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and innovations.
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks in the local bakery/patisserie/chocolate market.
- Provide actionable market insights to Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams.
- Support the launch of new products and concepts adapted to local market needs.
4. Solution Selling & Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Technical Advisors and Marketing to deliver customized solutions.
- Participate in customer demonstrations, innovation days, and product presentations.
- Translate customer needs into technical briefs and ensure follow-up on delivered solutions.
- Promote value-based selling (quality, innovation, sustainability), not only price-based.
5. Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with company objectives.
- Plan and prioritize daily/weekly activities to maximize customer coverage and effectiveness.
- Contribute to accurate sales forecasting and demand planning.
- Support stock management by aligning sales forecasts with supply chain.
6. Financial & Risk Management
- Monitor customer credit limits and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Support risk mitigation by ensuring proper contract management and compliance.
- Manage profitability at customer level (pricing, mix, discounts).
7. Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems (visits, opportunities, pipeline).
- Provide regular reports on:
- Sales performance
- Customer feedback
- Market insights
- Competitive landscape
- Track and report on KPIs, action plans, and commercial initiatives.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Technical Advisors, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
- Contribute to the execution of marketing campaigns and customer events.
- Share field insights to support innovation and product development.
9. Compliance & Company Values
- Ensure full compliance with Puratos policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Promote Puratos values, particularly in sustainability, innovation, and customer intimacy.
- Act as a brand ambassador in the market.
10. Continuous Development
- Continuously develop product, market, and sales competencies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, baking technologies, and customer expectations.
- Participate in internal trainings and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
11. Other responsibilities
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Support digital selling initiatives and remote customer engagement
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives and responsible sourcing communication
- Execute other tasks assigned by management within the employee’s competence
Qualifications required for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Technology, Marketing, or related field (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales (preferably in food ingredients, FMCG, or related industry)
- Experience in bakery/patisserie/chocolate segment is a strong advantage
- Advanced Excel skills.
- English language proficiency – intermediate to advanced level.
