Key Accountabilities

 

  • Properly mixes cleaning chemical and compounds, as well as insecticides if applicable.
  • Properly operates tools, including high pressure hoses for various cleaning processes.
  • Understands basic operation and function of sanitizing machinery such as floor scrubbers
  • Dismantles, cleans and reassembles machinery to be sanitized.
  • May need to operate forklift which training will be provided
  • Performs other maintenance duties such as painting or building exterior maintenance.
  • Communicates effectively with other employees.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend and perform procedures as written.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to comprehend chemical dilutions and proper use specified on manufacturer’s label.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend and follow all safety procedures
  • Must demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to choose and operate in a safe manner on various tools and power equipment, relative to assigned task.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work and communicate well with other associates.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently and as a team member with minimum supervision.
  • Must have the ability to read, comprehend and complete forms, logs and documentation as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills, and ability to consistently read and record alphanumeric codes.
  • Computer knowledge: basics skills/usage. 
  • Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal

 

Work Environment

 

  • Production areas are noisy; regular use of ear plugs/muffs required.
  • Safety glasses and safety footwear (steel toe, non-slip) required.
  • Hair and beard nets required.
  • Some areas are dusty.
  • Lifting up to 55 lbs., Lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Regular walking, standing, bending, and twisting.

Compensation

  • Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $18.00 - $23.00
