Key Accountabilities
- Inspect forklift prior to use. Check general condition and battery charge.
- Inspect and record temperatures of bulk storage tanks, refer trailers and garage.
- Pull and load cook deck with all raw materials for all production lines and set up room as needed.
- Observe and follow FEFO- first expiring, first out rule.
- Receive daily fruit transfer sheet and verify quantities being delivered.
- Break down fruit and place in designated storage areas.
- Receive inbound ISO and CORN bulk tank deliveries.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping and other simple cleaning tasks.
- Help with daily, monthly, and yearly inventory counts when needed.
- Understand and adhere to safe working practices and ergonomics programs.
- Understand and adhere to company GMP, Food Safety and Safety procedures and programs.
- Overtime hours may be required based on work demand. Employee must be flexible with these hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- 1-3 years forklift experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills, and ability to consistently read and record alphanumeric codes.
- Computer knowledge: basics skills/usage. SAP experience preferred.
- Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, other employees, and truck drivers.
Work Environment
- Production areas are noisy; regular use of ear plugs/muffs required.
- Safety glasses and safety footwear (steel toe, non-slip) required.
- Hair and beard nets required.
- Some areas are dusty.
- Operating forklift including repeatedly getting on and off throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift 50lbs., Lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Regular walking, standing, bending, and twisting.
Compensation
- Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $19.00 - $24.00
