Position Overview
Observe all Pennant Ingredients GMP’s, SOP’s and standards. Operate manual , automatic and or material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, while maintaining high quality standards that meet or exceed Pennant and customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Learns, understands, and follows safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follows established SOPs to ensures product quality standards are met.
- Performs all tasks and duties required to ensure production and efficiency standards are met.
- Assists in other areas in production as needed.
- Performs lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 to 100 pounds regularly and stands for extended periods of time.
- Reports all general safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance issues to Production Supervisor
- Maintains clean and sanitary work areas, machinery, and equipment.
- Communicates with supervisors and co-workers all information relevant to the manufacturing process.
- Ensures the proper set-up for the next shift and communicates with next shift.
- Overtime hours may be required based on work demand. Employee must be flexible with these hours.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment – large equipment, noisy, busy, can be dusty or damp.
- Use of PPE required (provided) – safety glasses, ear plugs/muffs, company uniform, hairnets and safety shoes.
- Additional PPE including bump caps and dust masks required for some duties.
- Standing, walking, lifting, cutting, climbing stairs and ladders for extended periods of time.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Use of electronic production equipment, including reading and manipulating touch screen monitors.
- Some duties require working outside in Rochester weather.
General Safety Responsibility Statements (Essential)
- Actively participate in all required safety training and adhere to company health and safety policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards or unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor.
- Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment.

- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company-specific safety procedures (e.g., JHA, Lockout/Tagout).
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely, ensuring all safety guards are in place and functional.
- Maintain a safe, ergonomic workspace, including attending, and participating in safety drills and emergency evacuation training.

Compensation
- Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $18.00 to $19.00
