We’re looking for a passionate Regulatory Affairs & Quality Control Specialist who thrives in a collaborative, multicultural environment and wants to make a real impact on employee experience.
Regulatory Affairs & Quality Control Specialist
(Izmir, Turkey)
Successful candidate will be directly reporting to Quality Manager in the Operations function.
Your Mission
- Establish, apply, and maintain a food safety & quality system in accordance with Puratos Group standards and policies
- Act as the key contact for external audits and certifications (e.g. BRCGS, Halal), ensuring full readiness and effective closure of audit findings
- Ensure full compliance with local and international legal requirements, including food legislation and regulatory obligations. Update relevant business divisions before & in case and take actions if necessary and share knowledge with local and global functions
- Responsible for reviewing product labels in line with local regulations, managing and tracking required revisions, and working closely with Marketing and Global teams throughout this process.
- Lead and coordinate supplier approval and selection processes with a strong focus on BRCGS, Halal and other relevant food safety and compliance standards
- Perform necessary internal quality audits
- Continuous improvement studies in quality, process and production fields to meet with customer expectations and requests, to comply with changing regulations and certification needs
- Conduct gap analyses and support risk assessments of processes & procedures against relevant guidelines as well as corporate standards
- Collaboratively work with other departments on the related areas such as production, planning, R&D and Marketing
- Generate and revise controlled documentation (e.g., procedures, work instructions, forms, specifications, protocols, reports, etc.)
- Participate in the development of training materials and deliver training to affiliate employees
What we expect from you
- A bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering/Chemical Engineering or relevant department
- A master degree in related fields is a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality control, quality engineering or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local & international quality standards for food industry
- Advanced problem solving, analytical and presentation skills
- An interest in food and demonstrable commitment to social responsibility
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as display strong teamwork skills
- Ability to initiate and support change and respond to change requirements by continually striving to improve working processes and systems, consistent with the organizational strategy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Business fluent in English
- Open to travel
