The Research and Development internship with Puratos will assist in activities related to new product development, product/process improvement, lab management and maintenance for the Sourdough and Grains category.
This is a paid full-time, 40 hour per week internship. This position will be located in our Pennsauken, NJ Headquarters.
Primary Responsibilities

Assist with the development of new products (sourdough and grains)

Support lab/pilot sample preparation and quality testing for customer projects or requests

Support sustainability efforts and reduction of food waste.

Responsible for F&D lab organization, maintenance, supplies and ingredients

Support validation of alternate raw materials for continuity of supply

Test new and innovative ingredients to improve functionality of focus products

Independently conduct lab trials and benchtop work, following SOPs and documentation requirements

Assist in plant trials as needed

Ensure complete documentation on new and/or revised products including: raw materials, formulations, process parameters, Quality Control tests
Requirements:

University Degree (or working towards one) with an excellent academic track record in Food Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Previous work or Internship experience is a plus, preferably in the Food, CPG or similar industry

Ability to travel to Pennsauken HQ using reliable transportation

Proficient in spreadsheet and presentation software
