Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that all food safety and quality protocols are followed.
- Conduct all processes associated with the inspection, and release of finished goods.
- Report and react to any non-conformances and or abnormal observations or notifications as they occur.
- Support the Manufacturing, Distribution, Sanitation, Maintenance, Development and Administration staffs as appropriate.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Support and follow all QA programs and initiatives.

- Conduct and Communicate evaluation results and any non-conformances.
- Conduct inbound inspection programs including COA reviews and maintenance.
- Monitor supply inventories and request supplies when needed.
- Conduct, communicate and maintain daily GMP, and process audit results to support continuous improvement.
- Retain and Maintain item samples.
- Monitor and report trial run results.
- Support HACCP
- Communicate Food safety and Quality expectations to other departments.
- Audit processes and help to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Accurately complete required forms/checklists
- Assist and participate in QA projects and QA team.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- AAS degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing operation and understanding of Good Manufacturing practices.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines.
- General understanding of Retail Baking Equipment and practices
- General understanding of Evaluation protocols including Analytical and Physical test methods
- Basic Computer skills including word and spreadsheet applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to read and understand English instructions.
- Understanding of weights and measures.
- Follow Safety Rules.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
- Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required.
Work Environment
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- Regularly required to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Regularly walks up and down stairs throughout the day.
- Use a computer keyboard and monitor more than 15% of total work time.
- Works in a commercial kitchen environment as well as a manufacturing environment
- Not all areas are environmentally controlled.
- Employee must adhere to all bakery, safety policies & procedures.
- Handles potential allergens, wheat, milk, egg and soy products.
- Company supplied uniforms are required.
- Hearing protection required.
- Non-slip, safety steel toed shoes required.
- Safety glasses required.
Compensation:
- Hourly compensation is based on skills and experience, ranging from $19.00 - $24.00
