Junior Regional ICT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Your Mission

You will collaborate with both the regional and HQ ICT Infrastructure teams as well as the country management teams in the region to ensure group standards are implemented and maintained while ensuring the highest levels of business continuity and productivity. You will be based in Pūre and report to Sub-regional ICT Infrastructure Team Leader.

What you will do

Operational tasks:

  • Above all else ensure business continuity
  • Ensure a secured environment is maintained for all sites within the region
  • Be the first point of contact for the country management teams offering support and training for local and group standard ICT solutions
  • Manage ICT assets in the region, plan and execute migrations for end-of-life systems
  • Monitor wide area network connectivity and performance in the region, coordinate with service providers and HQ and local teams to resolve issues.
  • Oversee daily operations by local ICT staff e.g. backups, monitoring of systems and local network
  • Manage hardware and software upgrade projects
  • Ensure the local network and systems are robust and reliable
  • Define the budgetary requirements for the coming replacement and upgrades of existing and new ICT systems
  • Coordinate and supervise the regional Active Directory and other security systems
  • Work with end users to identify issues and deliver required PC service levels and standards.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and staff on computer operation and other IT-related issues.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Install or move servers, computers and printers and other IT equipment 
  • Problem and Incident management using a ticketing system

 

Documentation:

  • Document new and existing systems and develop procedures for local, regional and HQ teams

Projects:

The Regional Infrastructure Specialist is involved in or can lead local projects such as:

  • Migration of local acquisitions or takeovers to the global Puratos network
  • Management and coordination of local moves and office/factory extensions
  • Be involved or lead local general ICT projects

What we expect from you

Knowledge of the following technologies are required or would be considered an asset:

  • Network Infrastructure (Cisco)
  • Server and storage Infrastructure (HP)
  • Microsoft on-premise stack (AD, Windows Server, …)
  • Virtualisation (VMWare ESX)
  • Microsoft cloud stack (Entra, Intune, Azure, …)
  • Video Conferencing Equipment

Other knowledge and skills:

  • Accuracy, flexibility, customer orientation
  • Willingness constantly learn new skills and technologies
  • Good spoken and written Latvian and English is required
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
