Sales Manager for Artisans and Distributors
(Pernik, Bulgaria)
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sales Manager for Artisans and Distributors to lead and grow our business in Bulgaria’s artisan bakery, patisserie and chocolateries. You will report directly to the General Manager, lead a dedicated sales team, and play a key role in shaping and executing our commercial strategy for these vital customer channels.
Your Mission
- Lead and develop the national sales team focused on artisan and distributor channels.
- Drive growth in sales, profitability, and customer base across these segments.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with Puratos Group’s vision and local market dynamics.
- Build strong partnerships with artisan bakers, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, coffee shop owners, and regional distributors.
What you will do
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of sales representatives dedicated to the artisan and distributor channels.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performance team culture.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Define and execute the commercial strategy for the artisan and distributor segments.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to develop campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives tailored to artisan needs.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Manage the commercial budget for the artisan and distributor channels, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting in terms of volume and revenue, based on market trends, customer insights, and historical data.
- Implement and monitor pricing policies in line with group guidelines, ensuring competitiveness and margin protection.
- Oversee and control discount structures, ensuring they are applied strategically and consistently to support business goals while maintaining profitability.
Customer & Distributor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key artisan customers and regional distributors.
- Support the sales team in customer visits, negotiations, and solution selling.
- Ensure effective market segmentation, territory management, and customer allocation.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data in CRM systems.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and expenses, and report regularly to senior management.
- Coordinate with supply chain and customer service to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the General Manager and other department heads to align on business goals.
- Participate in regional and international projects to share best practices and leverage group resources.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally in the food ingredients or FMCG sector.
- Strong background in working with distributors and artisan customers.
- Fluent in Bulgarian and English.
- Proficient in CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Passion for food, innovation, and customer success.
