As a Production Shift Lead at Vör, you'll oversee a specific production line or process within our nut butter manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for ensuring that their assigned line runs safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with food safety and quality standards.
The Shift Lead works directly alongside Production Operators, providing guidance, monitoring output, and helping solve problems in real time. This is an ideal role for a strong operator who has demonstrated leadership ability and is ready to take the next step.
Shift: 3rd shift 10 PM – 6 AM, Wed-Monday, must work weekends
Primary Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of an assigned production line (grinding, filling, packaging, or pails)

Ensure line is properly staffed and balanced for efficient operation

Monitor product consistency, fill weights, seal integrity, and packaging accuracy

Support equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting

Communicate material shortages or mechanical issues to the Shift Manager

Ensure all operators on the line follow GMPs, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures

Perform routine quality checks and verify accurate documentation (lot numbers, weights, time checks)

Track line performance including output, downtime, and waste

Assist in training new operators on line-specific SOPs and equipment operation

Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area

Help ensure daily production targets for the assigned line are met
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Bilingual is preferred – English and Spanish

2+ years of food production or manufacturing experience

Demonstrated leadership ability or prior team lead experience

Strong understanding of food safety and GMP requirements

Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with minor troubleshooting

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with team members

Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed

Previous experience working with a CMMS system is nice to have

Physical Demands: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, squatting, crawling, push/pull, and gripping; frequent stooping/twisting, kneeling, reaching, constant standing, walking, visual acuity (near/far)

Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to uneven ground, working at heights, and biohazards; frequent exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperatures, dust/fumes; constant exposure to hazards and machinery

Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical hourly range between $24-25/HR.
