Senior Manager, Procurement

The Senior Manager, Procurement will transform the indirect procurement management and own indirect category management (estimated $60M in spend) for Puratos USA & Pennant Ingredients. Acting as the Center of Indirect Excellence for Puratos North America, this role will drive continuous improvement on the procure to pay process with indirect while finding cross boarder savings where possible. Category focus is on, but not limited to: T&E, MRO, fleet, energy, temp labor and banking with some support for CAPEX negotiations. This position will have one direct or indirect report.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring that our business secures favorable terms and builds strong, reliable supplier partnerships
  • Work closely with our CFO and global HQ to design, lead, and implement cost savings projects based on a structured project/savings roadmap
  • Be the supplier relationship owner: Resolve any emerging issues, fostering smooth and productive relationships
  • Build and strengthen supplier relationships through frequent and effective communication on business, quality, and cost
  • De-risk indirect sourcing through contract management and making sure that technical requirements for vendors & legal terms are correct.
  • Manage the negotiation of vendor terms and conditions and associated maintenance and support for agreements.
  • Coordinate and lead planning continuous improvements initiatives as well as project management
  • Develop and enforce Indirect Procurement SOPs
  • Be the North American Center of Excellence – finding cross boarder synergies to drive additional savings with Canada & Mexico
  • Support banking & supply chain financing RFQ including execution of results

Prior Knowledge/Experience

  • Bachelors degree required; degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management, or related field
  • At least 8+ years of progressive procurement experience
  • ERP system experience, SAP a strong plus
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
