Procurement Director
Your Mission
The Director of Procurement for Canada is responsible for defining and executing a procurement strategy that protects margin, reduces risk, strengthens supplier resilience, and enables innovation while supporting Puratos Canada’s growth agenda.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead procurement across all Canadian manufacturing and distribution sites
- Ensure cost discipline, supply continuity, and business resilience
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance
- Enable innovation, manage supplier risk, and support business continuity
- Report to VP Operations Canada with dotted line to Group Procurement

What you will do
Strategy & Business Impact
- Protect margin and improve cost competitiveness
- Mitigate supplier, geopolitical, commodity, and supply disruption risks
- Strengthen supplier resilience and continuity of supply
- Enable innovation and speed to market
- Align procurement with Canada’s growth agenda
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to align with customer needs
- Support R&D on innovation and sourcing
- Ensure Quality and food safety compliance
- Work with Supply Chain and Operations on business continuity
- Partner with Finance to deliver margin improvement
Risk & Resilience Management
- Manage supplier and concentration risk
- Address geopolitical and regional sourcing risks
- Manage commodity volatility and pricing exposure
- Mitigate supply disruption risks
- Ensure supplier-side food safety compliance
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans
- Implement dual sourcing and contingency strategies
Procurement Execution
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracts
- Drive category strategies and supplier performance
- Define raw material coverage and hedging strategies
- Deliver continuous improvement and digital solutions

What we expect from you
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Experience: 10+ years in procurement, including 7+ years in leadership roles
- Experience in FMCG/food or manufacturing
- Procurement risk management and business continuity planning
- Knowledge of global supply markets and commodities
- Support for innovation and customer-driven sourcing
- Understanding of food safety and supplier compliance
- Strong ERP/SAP experience
