As Puratos in Canada continues its growth journey across the country, we are in search of hiring the following position for our Mississauga Ontario Location:

Industrial Millwright – Afternoon Shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm)

Your Mission

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Millwright will assist in the overall maintenance and repairs of the equipment and building facility with the view of maintaining the highest level of food safety, personal safety and equipment efficiency.

What you will do

Maintenance execution 

• Responsible for plant and equipment repairs, collaborating on-going maintenance projects with Puratos personal and external contractors.
• Responsible for all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance work
• When working outside regular hours the maintenance mechanic must be able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Assist with the maintenance log of work CMMS system to provide future projections for budgetary purposes.

• Keep the Maintenance/Engineering Team Lead informed of any maintenance issue or occurrences.
• Attend Daily Line meeting and execute any actions within capability
• Back up the Engineering / Maintenance Team Lead
• Conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner

• Act as back-up for Engineering / Maintenance Team Lead

Production process

• Carry out repairs as requested by Production Team Leads, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently and with the minimum disruption of the on-going production schedule.

What we expect from you

• Post secondary education in a technical feld
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment
• Industrial Millwright Licence (433A) required
• Capability to organize, plan and execute tasks reliably and independently
• Able to think logically around issues & tasks in resolving conflicts
• Ability to facilitate changes by influencing others through analytical approach
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP Management Extensive practical knowledge in operations, safety & HACCP Standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (verbal/written).
• Experience in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Capable to organize, plan and execute tasks reliably and independently.
• Able to think logically around issues & tasks and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to facilitate changes by influencing others through analytical approach.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds
