Operations Manager
(Lurín, Lima - Perú)
Your Mission
Reporting directly to the General Manager and in matrix line to the Regional Operations Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for developing the Puratos business towards Operational Excellence. As a Change Manager, (s)he ensures the continuous focus of the Operations organization, its structures and processes on the customer. (S)he will define and execute a Technical Master Plan to ensure the sustainable growth of all Operations activities in line with country and Regional plan.
As a People Manager, (s)he continuously develops the necessary skills and capabilities of the teams, at all levels of Operation, in order to build up a self-learning and engaged World Class Organization. As a Leader, (s)he develops a vision, inspires people to deliver outstanding results, unleashes potential and reinforces Puratos Magic throughout the whole organization.
What you will do
- Defines and executes plans to achieve operational KPI targets across Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Service, Cost & People, engaging all members of the Operations team in the process
- Proposes the yearly Opex budget aiming at improving all operational KPI’s in a balanced and sustainable way, ensures a proper reporting, takes all necessary actions in case of deviation
- Defines and proposes the Capex Plan, aligned on the country and Regional priorities, and ensures their realization in respect of agreed budget and timing
- Develops, presents and executes the necessary Technical Operations Master Plan for the country
- Develops continuously the skills and capabilities of his teams, to support all initiatives bringing the site to a self-learning World Class Organization
- Responsible for full compliance to all applicable legal regulations and international food safety standards: e.g. health & safety, working conditions, environmental, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Prerequisite Programs (PRP), GFSI certification allergens etc.…
- Builds up and ensures very effective and efficient relationships with the local country stakeholders: Business Units, Markets, Human Resources, Finance, etc… Strives to establish a community of vision and objectives between the Region & Group stakeholders and his/her team, based on the Puratos Values.
What we expect from you
- University Degree in Industrial Engineer, Food Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar
- Postgraduate studies: Master's degree or diplomas specializing in Operations.
- Full proficiency in Spanish and English
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Operations Departments
- It is a plus to have knowledge of the food sector.
- Combines theorical expertise with hands-on.
- Experience leading people, providing coaching, developing talent, and building a high-performance team
- Curiosity about digital tools, data & AI and comfortable learning new systems to make work safer, simpler, and more efficient.
