Your Mission

 

The mission of the Key Account Manager is to help execute the Puratos sales strategy to reach the agreed profitable sales goals across your assigned customer base of large industrial bakeries and Foodservice/QSRs.  The Key Account Manager should leverage sales support tools to drive value-added product innovations to customers, as well as coordinate and provide operational demand needs to be able to uphold superior service levels.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute annual commercial plans for assigned customers, in line with company vision (prioritizing the right customers & products)
  • Build and achieve sales budget and objectives using CRM for daily management of customer projects.
  • Prospect new customers & close deals quickly to grow profitable sales
  • Work closely with cross-functional resources with focus on driving new business and growing existing accounts
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly forecasts through IBP and PowerBI tools
  • Optimize and manage pricing and margins with support of central pricing team.
  • Serve as a collaborative teammate on the sales team, providing ideas, support & line of sight to territory activity (successes, hurdles, market insights)

 

Market Knowledge:

 

  • Leverage Puratos unique tools for customer engagement:
    • Sensobus for insights
    • Innovation Centers for collaboration and innovation
    • Proprietary Taste Tomorrow for identifying future trends.
  • Represent region in relevant professional associations and industry specific groups to further business and our employees
  • Grow and maintain foundational knowledge in market conditions, market trends, competitive activities, customer’s product and service needs, economic conditions, and regulatory issues

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years related sales experience, preferably within food or CPG industry
  • Proven track record in key account management with demonstrated ability to leverage internal resources and connect these with those of the customer.
  • Experience with large, complex customers; Retail, Foodservice/QSR a ‘plus’
  • Strong sales and profile with financial acumen and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Marketing and Sales decision-making processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SAP, IBP, and CRM software
