The Quality Manager develops and maintains Food Safety & Food Quality systems compliant with SQF, FDA and Puratos Group requirements while working with cross-functional operations teams to continuously improve performance while providing the highest quality of food safe products.
Location: Kenosha, WI – On-site
What You Bring: At least 5 years of quality and leadership experience in the food industry and hand-on experience with SQF, BRC, GMP, FDA or USDA inspections. Certifications in HACCP, FSMA, and PCQI required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain quality programs, train employees on execution and compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and manage CAPA programs to uphold quality standards.
- Analyze trends in non-conformities and CAPAs to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance and coordinate supplier audits.
- Oversee pest control and manage third-party, customer, and FDA audits.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with FDA and SQF requirements.
- Lead the customer complaint program, ensuring timely investigation and corrective actions.
- Set QA goals, track KPIs, assess deviations, and initiate corrective measures.
- Promote a “do it right the first time” culture focused on customer satisfaction and improvement.
- Collaborate with production managers to align quality initiatives.
- Build expertise in products, ingredients, and processing equipment.
- Manage and develop the quality team, fostering talent and core competencies.
- Champion a strong food safety culture across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Control Technology).
- Minimum 5 years of quality experience in the food industry.
- Mandatory experience with SQF, BRC, GMP, and FDA or USDA inspections.
- Certifications in HACCP, FSMA, and PCQI required.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish proficiency preferrred - not required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and occasional climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Environmental conditions may include working at heights, exposure to machinery, noise, extreme temperatures, dust, and fumes.

Compensation:
- Compensation for this role is salary and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical salary range between $89,000 - $129,116.
- This role is eligible for a targeted annual bonus equal to 10%. Final bonus payouts are determined by both individual and company performance.
