Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant executes preventive maintenance tasks as directed, ensuring minimal production interruption, and supports the engineering team with various plant projects. They are responsible for safety, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and work order management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute PM work as directed by maintenance supervisor and lead. Work in a self-sufficient manner; complete PM work without production interruption
• Resource for helping engineering team execute projects throughout plant
• Direct actions as necessary to ensure safety
• Capable of performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting including control systems
• CMMS- Work order entry, completion, requisition, inventory
• Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions 

Requirements:

• Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience preferred
• Experience working around Sanitary Systems
• Ability to work with hand tools, primarily used in mechanical work, knowledge of measurements mm and inches
• Capable of operating fork trucks, lifts, etc,
• Must be prepared to learn about new and existing processing systems
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and be comfortable with heights
