INVENTORY COORDINATOR
(Nairobi, Kenya)
Your Mission
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods between production, warehouse operations, suppliers, and customers while maintaining the highest standards of inventory accuracy and operational discipline. A strong audit mindset and proven experience in internal controls, compliance, and process governance are essential. The role requires rigorous attention to detail, strict adherence to procedures, and the ability to identify and address operational risks proactively. You will support inbound and outbound logistics, warehouse efficiency, and inventory management while ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, hygiene, food safety, and audit requirements.
What you will do
- Inventory & Logistics Coordination - Ensure accurate inventory management and efficient movement of goods to maintain stock integrity and customer service levels.
- Operational Excellence - Drive efficient and controlled warehouse operations through continuous improvement, problem-solving, and inventory accuracy.
- Teamwork & Communication - Foster effective collaboration and communication to ensure seamless warehouse and logistics operations.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance - Maintain a safe, compliant, and audit-ready environment while upholding quality, food safety, and operational standards.
What we expect from you
- Diploma or Certificate in Inventory Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge and minimum 5 years' experience of inventory control systems, warehouse operations, stock management principles, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role or leading teams.
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably Odoo), inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel for stock reconciliation, transaction tracking, reporting, and inventory accuracy.
- Demonstrated understanding of internal controls, stock accountability, audit requirements, and inventory governance standards, with the ability to maintain accurate and traceable records.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, health & safety, and company policies and procedures within warehouse and distribution operations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process, authorize, verify, and document warehouse and logistics transactions.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to prepare reports, maintain documentation, and perform accurate data entry.
- Highly organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining process discipline and control standards.
- Forklift, Reach Truck, or Narrow Aisle Truck certification will be an added advantage.
