Maintenance Manager
Job description
You are responsible for leading a team of Maintenance Technicians to efficiently handle both curative and preventive maintenance activities.
This always while using applicable procedures regarding safety & health, environment, (product) quality and order & cleanliness.
Your responsibility includes handling all preventive maintenance requests including gate keeping, prioritization, work preparation, planning , execution on the assets , maintenance budgeting and maintenance cost follow up .
Key-Tasks:
- Objectively select an in- or outsourcing strategy per type of activity
- Determining, managing, follow up and evaluating external partners (suppliers) in accordance with the internally applicable safety & health , environment and quality rules
- Managing, developing and training the Maintenance team
- Monitor the management and compliance with the specific working procedures related to your area of responsibility
- Sett up and managing key performance indicators regarding production-related maintenance
- Monitor and provide feedback to the available ERP system of activities performed, working hours and materials consumed per equipment
- Budget responsibility for all costs of your department
- Administrative follow-up (via SAP PM or other CMMS ) of the works and materials related to the maintenance work
- Promoting and supporting continuous improvement initiatives (eg: root cause analyses, workshops for drawing up/improving maintenance plans, stocking critical spare parts,...)
- Checking autonomous maintenance work (by operators) for timeliness, completeness and quality
- Managing the technical workshop and all common and personal tools in terms of safety and quality
- Manage all maintenance management routines as described in the maintenance management system
Profile:
- You have a degree in Industrial Engineering or higher studies in electromechanics or equivalent experience
- You also have at least 7 years of executive maintenance experience in a comparable industrial environment, of which at least 3 years as a manager
Further you have expertise in:
- Operational knowledge of production installations and related equipment
- Broad view of all aspects of maintenance (work preparation & planning, maintenance execution, reliability engineering, SHE, CMMS, budgeting , cost management ...)
- You have a technical background and like to follow the technicians on the work floor.
- You certainly have managerial skills but are also willing to do technical administrative work (procedures, instructions, matrices, ...)
- You are flexible and stress resistant
- You can work independently and solution-oriented, you also penetrate to the root cause of a technical problem
- You are customer-friendly and work respectfully with our internal
