Position Overview

 

Based at Guangzhou China, in order to further strengthen our finance team, we are currently seeking an:

 

Finance Director

(Guangzhou, China)

 

lead the finance function for our organization within a specific country or region. You’ll be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Your role is critical in ensuring financial stability, growth, and alignment with corporate objectives

Key Accountabilities

 

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Create annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

 

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

 

Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with business leaders, department heads, and regional teams.
  • Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making.

 

Risk Management and Internal Controls:

  • Assess financial risks and implement effective controls.
  • Monitor internal audit processes and address any findings.

 

Treasury and Cash Management:

  • Optimize cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee banking relationships.
  • Mitigate foreign exchange risks.

 

Tax Strategy and Optimization:

  • Work closely with tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team.
  • Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional growth.

 

Financial Systems and Process Improvement:L

  • Evaluate existing financial systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and scalability.

 

Profile             

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • At least 10 years of finance management experience 
    • Proven experience finance leadership roles, preferably within a multinational organization.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
    • IFRS Reporting, Accounting, General Accounting Proficiency.
    • Good understanding of law and general practices in terms of finance management
    • Excellent English writing and communication skill.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP BI is a highly desired asset.
    • People leadership experience and ability to work with diverse styles and cultures.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented; strong initiative and follow-through;
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to set priorities; solid judgment
