Mission

 

Join our dynamic team as a R&D Lab Technician – Decors and Creams for our HQ R&D and immerse yourself in a world of delightful creations. Your mission in this team is to perform lab trials according to well defined procedures, allowing to build scientific insights on new and innovative products. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will have the chance to explore and experiment with an array of delicious ingredients, shaping the future of bakery and pastry products.

 

Key accountabilities

 

Research and innovation projects support:

 

  • You will work on the organization and execution of lab and pilot trials, including sample preparation, followed by lab analysis and sensory evaluation of the tests.
  • You will conduct clear and accurate reporting of results.
  • You embrace the opportunity to contribute to innovation and renovation projects by testing new raw materials and alternative technologies on lab or pilot scale.
  • You will be in charge of shelf- life follow-up, prepare samples for shipment, and coordinate the sending of samples.
  • You will support to upscaling to industrial production line

 

Co-responsible for daily operational lab and pilot area management and administrative tasks:

 

  • You will ensure fluent operations and maintenance of the lab and pilot area by ordering and collecting raw materials on time, managing packaging materials, and cleaning devices.
  • You are co-responsible for safety, quality, and technical excellence in the lab and pilot area, along with your peers.
  • You will create Standard Operational Procedures for the lab and pilot area, ensure implementation, and keep them up-to-date with all procedures.
  • You will support lab administration by completing proper documentation on raw materials, formulations, and technical specifications of finished goods.

 

Who are we looking for ?

 

  • You have completed a bachelor degree in food chemistry, food technology or nutrition and dietetics or a  program with relevant experience (R&D, food technology). Having experience in a lab environment would be a big plus.
  • You are well organized and flexible and you like to work in a team. You have a real interest and passion for innovation and development in the food sector.
  • You work extremely accurately and systematically and you are familiar with Microsoft office (Word and Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc). SAP is a plus.
  • A good knowledge of English is important. A and any other languages are a plus.
