At Northern & Eastern Europe (NEEU) we do business in 41 countries (Belgium, UK, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Germany, Austria etc.), collaborate with 2.300 colleagues, speak over 30 languages, and we have achieved sales of €900 million in 2024.

To strengthen our regional NEEU team, we are looking for a:

Procurement Manager Northern & Eastern Europe

(Groot-Bijgaarden, Brussels area, Belgium)

As part of our global strategy and long-range plan, this role will be pivotal in steering Puratos growth and profitability in NEEU.

The Regional Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy at the regional level, aligned with the Group's overall goals. This role aims to optimize the procurement process by finding synergies across the countries to ensure cost-effective sourcing of high-quality ingredients and materials, while supporting the company's sustainability and growth objectives.

What you will do

• Defining and implementing regional procurement strategy considering region and country needs / circumstances (Group, Region and Country alignment).
• Manage procurement operations, including supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ESG commitments.
• Lead and develop a regional procurement community, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities support overall business goals.
• Professionalize Procurement approach in NEEU countries (incl. Upskilling country Procurement Managers).
• Identify enablement needs – training or tools to improve efficiency for Procurement in countries.
• Leveraging the new Target Operating Model (incl. Operations Excellence Procurement Pyramid) to further develop required processes, tools, KPIs and capabilities in the countries.
• Being interface between Group and Country Procurement organizations (Direct/Indirect/CapEx)
   

What we expect from you

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
• Vast experience in a lead buyer role and team leader (> 10 years)
• Fluent in English (any additional languages would be considered as a plus)
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and digital tools.
• In-depth understanding of supply chain management principles.
• Knowledge of regulatory and ESG compliance requirements.
• Analytical skills for market trend analysis and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions and technological advancements.
