In this role, you ensure company’s growth in terms of sales, profits & customers base in Large account chocolatiers (1) developing the Chocolatier channel in Belgium in line with the Channel Chocolatier strategy and sales plan, and with the Group’s guidelines, (2) actively promoting the Group’s product lines, and (3) create a strong long term partnership to the assigned key accounts.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • You establish, develop, and maintain long-term business relationships with current and prospective customers, generating new business opportunities. You put the customer at the center of all activities by building long-term connections at all levels within customers, including management, purchasing, marketing, R&D, and commercial.
  • You are a team player in the widest sense of the meaning. You work collaboratively with other Key Account Managers, learning from each other and achieving group objectives together.
  • You assist chocolatiers in making mutually beneficial decisions through a consultative selling approach, driving revenue growth by promoting our product and service solutions.
  • You coordinate and negotiate sales deals with the customers, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable delivery conditions, and successful outcomes.
  • You manage the contract business by following up the cocoa market and proactively connect with customers when opportunities arise.
  • You diligently follow up on sales results and take corrective actions when necessary, ensuring consistent progress and success. You report on the progress of your account on a regular basis, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • You take ownership of the Total Profit & Loss with your customer portfolio, maximizing growth and profitability.
  • You support with contract and credit overdue.
  • You organize and lead regular customer meetings to drive business development, as well as actively participate in multi-disciplinary status meetings to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • You will manage a central customer project list, expertly guiding projects through the Large Account Sales Process, ensuring efficient business cycle management.
  • You will organize account review meetings both internally and with the customer, involving all members of the business development team for comprehensive feedback and improvement.
  • You will develop, formulate, and implement a development plan for certain national accounts in consensus with the business development team (R&D, TA, marketing, etc.).
  • You will understand your customers' manufacturing operation systems, processes, and policies to effectively use their language during sales discussions.
  • You will provide proactive support and swift troubleshooting, collaborating with other members of the business development team (R&D, quality, TA, etc.) for technical problem-solving expertise.
  • You establish a network in the sector and represent the brand during events and external meetings.
  • For customers with an international representation, you will actively participate in global/regional account reviews, sharing best practices and learning from your international colleagues. Moreover, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the group Key Account Plan.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have an master or bachelor degree or equivalent by experience.
  • You have between 5 and 10 years of experience in B2C, B2B sales or Food Service sector at similar position.
  • You have a passion for food and sales with some notions of marketing
  • You speak Dutch & French fluently and have a good knowledge of English.
  • You are ready to travel around Belgium to meet your clients on a regular base.
