Key Accountabilities

• You will provide general tax support to group entities, covering all aspects of taxation, including direct taxes, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and international taxation, with the support of the Global Tax Team.
• You will analyze the tax impact of business decisions and advise on actions to minimize liabilities. You will ensure the implementation and follow-up of these actions, providing guidance and answers to business inquiries concerning tax issues for your assigned companies.
• Working closely with the Global Tax Team, you will focus on key areas such as Belgian tax compliance, worldwide tax compliance follow-up, ad-hoc transfer pricing projects, international structuring, and the roll-out of indirect tax optimization projects.
• You will contribute to the development and documentation of compliance processes, tax and transfer pricing procedures, policies, and documentation, ensuring their implementation and adherence.
• You will support and review quarterly and annual tax accounting, prepare tax provision calculations, and direct tax compliance and audit strategies and activities as assigned.
• When necessary, you will collaborate with outside tax advisors to ensure that the company's operations in the region comply with local tax laws.
• You will support the companies during tax audits and assist in the preparation of administrative and judicial defenses on their behalf.

Who are we looking for?

• Education: You have a Master’s degree, plus a postgraduate tax degree.
• Experience: You bring 3 - 6 years of experience in (international) taxation. Experience as an in-house tax specialist is a plus.
• Languages: You are proficient in English. Knowledge of French, Dutch, and/or Spanish is a plus.
• Skills:
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of autonomy and initiative.
  • You possess excellent technical, analytical, and risk assessment abilities.
  • SAP knowledge is a definite advantage.
  • You are a creative problem-solver who can think outside the box.
  • You have a strong understanding of the business implications of tax positions.
  • You are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • You work effectively in a multicultural environment and can collaborate with cross-functional teams.
