To strengthen our HQ in Groot Bijgaarden, we are looking for a: 

Global R&D Manager Patisserie Mixes 

Your Mission 

In this role, you will support the innovation and renovation of cake textures and fine patisserie mixes around the world. You will collaborate closely with the different countries all over the world, ensuring our products meet diverse customer needs and preferences. Your expertise will drive product excellence and contribute to our business growth and profitability.

Key Accountabilities 

• You are the expert on the product category in terms of formulation, recipe, and process
• You define & optimize, in close collaboration with the different countries, the product range including new product developments and renovations of products
• You accelerate the implementation of Puratos Patisserie Mixes solutions and innovations by visiting the customers and mastering their processes
• You ensure knowledge building, documentation, and exchange of technical & scientific know-how in the field, between HQ and local R&D teams
• You develop relationships and/or partnerships with external stakeholders (e.g. suppliers)
• You participate in the organization of training R&D managers
• You collaborate with operations (incl. production, supply chain, quality, and purchasing) and give support by sharing expertise (e.g. perform raw material risk assessment)

Who are we looking for? 

• You have an academic degree in Bioscience Engineering, Food Technology or equivalent.
• You have at least 3 years of experience within R&D in the food sector.
• You are passionate about food and have general knowledge about ingredient functionality, food processing, and quality (knowledge in cereal science is a plus)
• You are critical thinking and problem-solving.
• You are digital savvy
• You are a dynamic person who is able to challenge, plan and organize.
• You have strong communication skills and can build a good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English. Any other languages are a plus.
• You are willing to travel occasionally globally (15%).
