Business Development Manager - Asia & Middle East

BELFEED (part of Puratos Group) is looking for an International Business Development Manager for Feed Additives. The main work location will be Belgium.

Key Accountabilities

You will be responsible for developing the feed enzymes business with specialized distributors and end users in Asia and the Middle East, working closely with your colleagues. As the primary contact, you will support distributors and manage technical projects related to Feed in this specific region. From your first day, you will participate in a personalized training program to become an expert in our feed activities.

Key Accountabilities:

After completing your training, you will take the lead in these responsibilities in Asia and the Middle East. More specifically, you will:

• Act as the ambassador of BELFEED, motivating partners to promote our feed additives.
• Conduct strategic market analyses and build sales budgets for the region.
• Manage the expense budget for the area.
• Provide and present technical trainings, and supply distributors with technical materials and concepts.
• Offer technical advice and pricing support to distributors, including regular international travel.
• Participate in product portfolio development, considering the product life cycle.
• Contribute to new product development and technical initiatives within BELFEED to ensure the best market insights.
• Assist local partners in the registration process for feed applications and other administrative documents for export to your area.
• Participate in research projects for future products through trials and collaborations with research centers, universities, local partners, etc.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a PhD degree as a bio-engineer, in bio-industry, veterinary science, or equivalent experience.
• You have 5 years of experience in animal nutrition (monogastrics, with experience in ruminants and aquaculture being a plus) and animal trials (setup and result analysis).
• You possess a hands-on attitude and a proactive personality.
• You have excellent presentation skills.
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of other Asian languages or Arabic is a big plus.
• You are willing to work in Puratos offices in Belgium (Andenne or Groot-Bijgaarden) with a flexible home office policy.
• You are willing to travel globally up to 30% of the time and are open to additional travel as needed.
