Key Accountabilities

You would be put in a cross-functional job where you would lead and inspire the Maintenance Team while at the same time implementing efficient processes, reducing production costs, and achieving continuous improvement towards Operational Excellence (in SHE, Quality, Service, Cost and People).

Your key responsibilities would be:

1. People Management:

• You would help select, recruit, and retain the best people for your team.
• You would coach and develop your direct reports and employees to maximize their potential, while also creating a positive working environment and ensuring continuous training.

2. Maintenance Management:

• You ensure compliance with legal regulations and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, FDA, Halal, Kosher).
• You optimize maintenance processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, and manage maintenance budgets, including outsourced activities as facilities, and oversee SAP systems.
• You align maintenance with production strategies, logistics, and quality & safety regulations, while monitoring facilities and staff on the shop floor with the maintenance team.
• You ensure the availability of spare parts in the most economical way and manage the automation architecture of the production site with support from the Automation Manager.
• You oversee utilities and HVAC installations, ensuring safety and efficiency, and monitor energy and water consumption, implementing reduction initiatives.

3. Collaboration:

• You have an active role regrouping all Maintenance Managers and have the chance to work in close collaboration with production managers, supply planning, quality team, safety and HR as part of the Management Team.

Who are we looking for?

As a Maintenance Engineer, you :

• hold a Technical master’s degree or have a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
• bring at least 7 years of maintenance experience in a production environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
• are fluent in English, Dutch and French.
• are proficient in SAP/Maximo, Excel, RCM, Lean Maintenance, and preventive maintenance techniques.
• excel under pressure, demonstrate result-oriented leadership, and maintain a strong customer-focused approach.
