Application Specialist Sunset Glaze

For our headquarters in Groot-Bijgaarden we are looking for an application specialist with a focus on our sunset glaze application.

As an Application Specialist, you play a pivotal role in developing business at large bakery key accounts. Working closely with business development teams, you deploy high-end technical expertise to drive strategic innovation, expand our product portfolio, and meet customer demands. Your mission includes proposing, implementing, troubleshooting, and defending the application of Sunset Glaze across multiple Bakery (& Patisserie) products. Additionally, you collaborate with R&D to contribute to the formulation of new Sunset Glaze product varieties and developments. You travel 40% of your time to visit customers worldwide.

Key Accountabilities

Business Development Activities:

• • Support the implementation of Sunset Glaze at customer sites, leveraging global experience and guiding regional champions.
  • Identify new business opportunities for Sunset Glaze in bakery or patisserie applications.
  • Collaborate with R&D to turn these opportunities into new products.
  • Maintain close relationships with global large account customers, proactively detecting products at risk and defending our business.

Delighting Customers:

• • Conduct frequent visits to large account customers, building strong relationships with technical teams.
  • Understand related bakery equipment (including spray equipment) and propose optimal solutions for glazing in production.
  • Provide timely troubleshooting support to large account customers, resolving issues in their daily production.

Building and Sharing Knowledge:

• • Help colleagues and customers in developing technical expertise related to Sunset Glaze through the Sunset Glaze champions community.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies, machinery/equipment, trends, and techniques, sharing insights with regional champions and other application specialists/R&D.

Network Building:

• Cultivate a network of relevant industrial machinery manufacturers.
• Contribute to the internal international technical community.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a background in bakery, preferably combined with food science/technology (or equivalent by experience).
• You have 5 years of hands-on experience in the industrial bakery sector.
• You have a good understanding of bakery processes, equipment and ingredient functionalities.
• You are fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus.
• You are customer oriented and have a strong sense of business development.
• You are analytically strong, you like problem-solving and you have a hands-on attitude.
• You are a team player and are a strong communicator.
• You are open to travel 40% of your time.
