Global Product Manager Sourdough 

Your Mission 

For Puratos Headquarters, located at Groot-Bijgaarden, we are looking for a Global Product Manager Sourdough in order to achieve the ambitious business targets for our sourdough business unit. You will actively participate to the creation and global implementation of the business unit strategy. You will be responsible for the brand Sapore, one of the leading sourdough innovations within the group. You will work side by side with your R&D counterparts, the market teams and the technical advisor community. You will be responsible for the product strategy and portfolio, with a strong focus on innovation.

Key Accountabilities 

• You collect, analyse and build market intelligence from a wide range of data sources and identify possible impacts on the business.
• You build and implement the product strategy aligned with Markets/ Channels/ Operations, in order to determine optimal competitive positioning to reach short and long term business objectives.
• You manage the product portfolio (profitability optimization, pricing, SKU management, benchmarking) and all element of the marketing mix (branding, pricing, route to market, promotions, …).
• You monitor the sales performance of the category in terms of volume, sales, margin evolution, customer penetration, … You propose, agree and roll-out corrective actions or acceleration plans with Business Units, local organizations and regional direction.
• You actively support business development (markets, channels, customers) by customers visits, customer presentations, training, exchange of best practices.
• You develop product communication and sales support tools in line with the Group communication strategy.
• You build strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to share the product vision and create involvement at different organizational levels.

Who are we looking for? 

• You have a Business or Marketing degree with at least 7 years of experience. Experience in an international B2C environment is a plus.
• You have a passion for food and you are keen to understand the technical challenges and opportunities. Therefore ready to have a common language with R&D and technical advisors.
• You are curious, data driven, digital savvy and inspired by the understanding of local consumer culture’s diversity in food.
• You play to win, you are customer centered and determined to continuously improve everything we do, daring to challenge boundaries to deliver superior value in products & services, and meaningful innovations.
• You show strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time and work under pressure and to deadlines.
• You are interdependent, open mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
• You are a dynamic, proactive and creative team player. A positive attitude is a must.
• You are excellent in English (written & spoken). Other languages are a plus.
• You are willing to travel 25% of your time.
