DATA ANALYST

POSITION OVERVIEW

To effectively manage and maintain critical financial, sales and operational data, ensuring accuracy across various asset classes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design, develop and deploy data-driven predictive models and algorithms.
• Analyze large, complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns and actionable insights.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modelling to enhance and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
• Analyze operational data sets to enhance efficiencies, customer service and improve cost management.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyses model performance and data accuracy.
• Present complex data and conclusions in a clear and actionable way to stakeholders and executives.
• Develop Reporting, Dashboard and Analytics for Business.
• Provide solutions to problems with operations and data issues.
• Manage and implement solutions in the organization.
• Gather requirement from managers.
• Continuous improvement on existing functions and reports.
• Perform data integrity checks and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage daily exception reports and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting accuracy.
• Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts.

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 and a qualification in BCom Economics, Financial Management, Quantitative Management, Data Science or Business Science.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in Data Management.
• Computer literacy: Office computer (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Good communication skills – English is a prerequisite.
